This project came about after working extensively with London based bass player and producer Geoff Gascoyne. Possibilities is made up of eleven exciting tracks, including two groove-based original compositions co-written by Josh and Geoff.
Josh added lyrics to great jazz tunes by Herbie Hancock, Victor Feldman, Jimmy Rowles, Wayne Shorter and Larry Willis, also reimagined the standard The Thrill is Gone and Amazon, a song by Djavan performed originally by the great Betty Carter.
This was the first release for Kyle, and a strong first statement as a jazz vocalist, what does a vocal jazz album sound like? What are the possibilities?
